Motivation or Message Which We Get From Chhapaak Movie

 Review:

Chhapak(2020) is a Bollywood biographical-drama, directed by Meghna Gulzar. The movie stars Deepika Padukone in a lead role alongside, Vikrant Massey and Madhurjeet Sarghi. Chhapak is based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

The film revolves around Malti (Deepika Padukone) who is attacked with acid on a street in New Delhi, in 2005. The movie takes us on a journey of the acid attack victim, about how they face the problems post-attack, their life, struggles, and also the medico-legal-social state of affairs that transpires after the acid has been hurled and the face is irreparably burnt.

Amidst the heavy-duty protests and demonstrations in the Capital to seek justice for a rape victim, there are many unvoiced warriors battelling such disgusting acts. Meanwhile, in the film, Malti faces many difficulties in her life post-attack.

After multiple attempts to cope up with the societal pressure and unsuccessful attempts in seeking a job owing to her disfigured face post an acid-attack, Malti (Deepika Padukone) decides to work for an NGO run by Amol (Vikrant Massey) which fights against acid attack violence. Slowly, she tries to rebuild her life and help in the up liftment of other acid-attack survivors as well.

We learnt from this movie is given below:

1. Courage:

After the incident that happened with Malti, it took too much courage for her to move forward in life with a positive attitude despite the society’s reaction towards her. The step that she took in life to move forward with a positive attitude set an example in the world.

2. Brave:

She went against all the odds, fought with herself, accepted the situations in life, and moved forward with a positive attitude. Malti is indeed an inspiration to all of us.

3. Will Power:

Malti wanted to excel in life and despite the bad situations in life, she moved forward and started inspiring other victims and people as well. Malti is a motivation in today’s society as she herself fought for justice.

4. Support:

Malti’s husband supported her throughout the ups and downs in life, motivated her to fight against the odds, motivated her to be brave, and supported her in all the steps of life.

There are many values learnt from many walks of life. We should raise a voice against the odds and fight for justice. But, also remember that a positive hope always leads to a happy life.
